Carlos Cuadra

Creative Designer

I’m a multidisciplinary designer who likes to figure things out. Whether I’m leading a team or deep in production, I enjoy the balance between creativity and structure. I’ve worked on all kinds of projects big, small, fast, and messy and what keeps me engaged is solving problems in a way that feels intentional and well-executed. I like when things work, when they make sense, and when the details are there without shouting.

This is a 3D visual development project created for a major tech brand.

The work focused on transforming a 2D icon set into a detailed 3D system including modeling, material exploration, and large-scale rendering for use across multiple platforms. Due to confidentiality, the full project is only available upon request and with access permission.

Nueve is an ongoing personal project where I worked on all aspects of creative direction, from brand strategy and visual identity to packaging, photography, and physical experiences. It’s a specialty coffee brand built in Costa Rica, rooted in the idea that high-quality coffee should feel local, accessible, and well-designed especially in a producing country.

This project has allowed me to explore every part of the design process, both digital and physical, and build a brand that’s constantly evolving through experimentation, events, and community.

Creative Direction & Visual Identity for Nueve coffee

This project started with a clear goal: to define a recognizable and repeatable animation style for a client’s digital interfaces. We began by developing a motion language and production standards tailored for short, UI-focused animations creating a flexible system that could scale.

After setting those foundations, we moved into production, delivering around 40 unique animations so far. Some of these even made it into the client’s Super Bowl campaign. While our main role was animation production, I led the creative direction on our side managing the team, overseeing quality, and keeping everything aligned with the client’s standards and expectations.

Due to the nature of the project, visuals are available upon request.

3D Modeling & Material Study

Sheet Metal Forms

This project is a personal exploration in 3D design, created as part of weekly prompts from the Render Weekly community. Both objects a sheet metal table and chair set, and a coffee dripper concept were modeled and rendered in Blender, with a focus on form, material behavior, and clean, industrial aesthetics. The goal was to study how folded metal can shape everyday objects in a visually honest and functional way.
